Carr's dozen years with Wildcats - six as the head girls basketball coach and, more recently, six in charge of the boys program - culminated in a combined four Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools state championships. [...] Carr recently left the only school he's ever worked, accepting the position as head boys basketball coach at St. Pius X. "St. Pius is a football and baseball school, but we have the potential to win big in boys basketball," Carr said. Over the past six years, Westbury Christian went undefeated in district play, made six straight Final Four appearances and captured state on three occasions (2009, 2010 and 2013). A native of Guntersville, Ala., Carr has already joined St. Pius for summer workouts, He believes the Panthers will be a factor next season, with senior point guard Cameron Coleman, junior small forward Jordan Jackson and senior power forward Jonathan Wiley returning. We expect to have a big year. [...] if Carr's history at Westbury Christian is any indication, when he says a big season is in the offing for his new St. Pius Panthers, it wouldn't be a wise thing to bet against him.
