The Astros essentially kept their roster intact at the deadline, banking on a team that was playing well enough to dig itself out from a 7-17 April and close within 21/2 games of the Rangers in the American League West. The more notable of their two minor moves was sending righthander Scott Feldman, who excelled in the bullpen after he was removed from the rotation, to Toronto for a rookie-ball pitcher.
