The next Houston Open will be played the second week of October at the Golf Club of Houston, where it has been held since 2006, meaning it's moving to the fall for the first time on a regularly-scheduled basis. It will also be the first one not put on by the Houston Golf Association, which was founded in 1946 in large part to run the event. Crane has said, however, that he would welcome the HGA's assistance in an ancillary role, whatever that might prove to be.
